Are Greggs Meal Deals Worth It in 2026? Savings Explained

Ask a Greggs regular for one piece of advice and it will be this: always get the meal deal. The deals bundle food with a drink at a set price that undercuts buying the two separately, and the savings are big enough to notice. Here is every deal on the 2026 menu and exactly how much each one saves you.

How the deals work

The format never changes. Pick a food item from the deal's range, add any regular hot or cold drink, and pay the deal price. There is no voucher, no app and no minimum spend. You just ask for the deal at the till.

Breakfast deals

Available until around 11am. The breakfast roll deal is £3.60: any breakfast roll plus any regular hot drink. The maths is kind. A sausage or bacon roll is £2.85 and a regular white coffee is £2.05, a total of £4.90. The deal saves £1.30, which is more than a quarter off.

The breakfast baguette deal is £4.25 for any breakfast baguette plus any regular hot drink. With baguettes running £3.45 to £3.65 and the drink at £2.05, the separate total is £5.50 to £5.70, so the saving is £1.25 to £1.45.

Savoury deals

The savoury roll deal is the cheapest meal deal Greggs sells at £2.95. Any sausage roll, classic or vegan, plus any regular hot or cold drink. Against a £1.35 roll and a £2.05 coffee (£3.40), you save 45p at the low end. Pick a £2.20 cappuccino instead and the separate total is £3.55, saving 60p.

The bake deal at £3.95 covers any bake or melt with any regular drink. A steak bake (£2.10) with a latte (£2.20) would be £4.30 separately, so the deal saves 35p to 60p depending on the drink.

Sandwich and hot food deals

The sandwich deal is £3.95 for any sandwich, baguette, wrap or salad plus any regular drink. This is where the savings get serious, because the food items are pricier. A £3.35 baguette with a £2.20 hot chocolate is £5.55 separately. The deal saves £1.60.

The hot food deal at £4.50 pairs pizza slices, chicken goujons or hot baguettes with a drink. A chicken burger (£3.25) with a latte (£2.20) is £5.45 on its own, so the deal saves 95p.

Sweet treat deal

The afternoon option: any doughnut or yum yum with a regular coffee for £2.60. A yum yum (£1.15) and a white coffee (£2.05) total £3.20, so the saving is 60p. Small, but it makes the 3pm coffee run feel much more reasonable.

Maximising the saving

The trick is simple: within each deal, pick the most expensive food item and the most expensive drink in the range. A sandwich deal with a £3.35 baguette and a £2.20 hot chocolate saves £1.60, while the same deal with a £2.75 sandwich and a £1.65 tea saves just 45p. Same deal, very different value.

Are deals available everywhere?

Nearly. Most shops run the full set, but franchise shops in airports, stations and service stations occasionally vary the range or nudge the prices up. The structure is the same everywhere though: food plus drink, one price, cheaper than separate.

The weekly maths

Eat lunch at Greggs five days a week and always take the deal, and you save roughly £5 to £8 a week against buying separately. Over a year of working weeks that is £250 to £400 back in your pocket. That is the real reason regulars never skip the deal.
